not sure if the big bossman noticed all the work we did on friday. we were up on the building's roof dismantling an old satellite dish we don't need anymore. turned out there were lots of cinder blocks up there that needed to come down. easiest way? throw them off! all the stuff up on the roof that we didn't need anymore we just pitched off the side. that was definitely satisfying, one of those things you always want to do when you're up on a building but it's not something adults do, right? fun stuff.

on the weekend we made pikliz, a kind of coleslaw they eat with almost every meal in haiti. i've loved this stuff for years but never had to make our own because we'd always get it from Alexandra's mother or direct from relatives in haiti. turns out it's not that hard. ours is only a couple of days old so it's not nearly hot enough to suit me. four habaneros and two scotch bonnet peppers went in there so it should get hotter.
looking at cars again, less than a year left on the lease now. love the Mercedes B200 and Audi A3 but those are a lot of coin. time will tell.
